So when comes version 1.1 ?!

Hi everyone,

We’ve been receiving tons of e-mails asking where’s the version 1.1 finally (and we understand the impatience very much indeed!), so we decided to update you as to where we are now.

We have not yet submitted to AppStore, because we are still adding some last-minute features and details, polishing, fixing, testing again etc. We are very sorry for the delay, but at the same time we are now pretty sure version 1.1 is worth waiting for.

Please excuse us for the delay and grant us a little more of your patience, we are doing our best to deliver soon!

Thank you!

there will be a desktop version ? Great . I´m really looking forward to version 1.1 and this special desktop version because there isnt any way to synchonisize this app with the pc (like outlook or something else) ;)

I think you will do it very well Guys !

Will there be a price increase for those of us who have not yet purchased the app?

  6. @app_lover: app price will not be increased with version 1.1

THANK YOU!!! I really appreciate the update and understand how long it take to make a really good app

So another week or so plus the App approval process? Or do updates not need as thorough approvals?

  9. Dany said

I’am looking toward to, for the desktop version.

the blog title was misleading. You didn’t tell us when. I’d be the same as those who hadn’t read this- still clueless as to when it’s out

    Hello, development team,

I would like to request a feature; please include a backup to computer feature or export to ical feature. It took me about an hour and a half to input all of my classes and assignments into iStudiez Pro. I would be sad if my schedule was lost.

Thanks for your program. It will not only help me preview lecture topics but also discern upcoming due dates. Great app. Would be even better if it has backup function.

  12. Ben said

    Hi, development team,

I have come up with another request. Please make it possible to print a hard copy of the schedule by due date, so that I can keep a copy in my notebook during class.

    Best,

    xx

The anticipation is killing me. I’ve been checking the app store daily in hopes it would drop. I’m grateful for this update, even if it isn’t specific. I know you are still working on it. I am a teacher and use the app every day. It already works great, but the planned changes will really turn it into the hub of my day. Thanks!

I have reverted back to pen and paper until the new update: looking forward to it. I had to go the ‘long way round’ of setting up my timetable as I have a two-week rotating schedule, and I actually missed a couple of lessons, so something must have gone wrong somewhere down the line.

Thanks for this update, looking forward to a polished-to-perfection app. Hope it doesn’t take too long for Apple to approve.

***PLEASE let us know via the blog when you have submitted the update to Apple for approval!***

    Thanks!

Andriy & Michael, thank you for the update. That’s exactly what I was asking for in the email. I can’t wait, could you please hurry up! Thanks and bye. Your app is worth $3.

  16. Dion said

Perfect. I’ll wait for the 1.1 reviews to pop up before I spend more cash for an iPhone app. It sounds great, but reviews seem to make the app feel a little to college focused. If the app cant conform to my school’s odd block rotation system, I will have zero use for this app.

  17. Joel said

I’d like to see a sale price for the app. Also, iStudent Pro is a better app title but shouldn’t there be a free or lite version if this is the pro version?

  18. Kelly said

    Thanks guys! Sounds great. :)

If there is a desktop version on the way, that’s even more awesome… I was looking at possibly switching to iHomework because there’s a desktop version of that with syncing, but I really like iStudiez Pro and don’t want to switch! A way to sync with something on the computer (whether a desktop version of this app, or iCal, or whatever) would be really handy though.

Thanks again, great stuff already! :)

  19. Andy said

Man, I cant wait for this update. I had been checking the apps store every day looking for an update. Wonder when they plan on submitting it to Apple? Then how long does Apple take to approve it?

  20. Cole said

Please make it so that its possible for a class to be only once every month, that would be perfect. thank you.

  21. Jimmy said

I only have one request, and that’s to change the name to something more professional. iStudent Pro was a decent name, iStudiez Pro is absolutely horrible. If I wasn’t already familiar with this app I wouldn’t even give iStudiez a glance. The least you can do is change it to iStudies Pro. The ‘z’ just screams iPhone cash in

  22. matt said

to add to the feature requests, i think it would be extra great to be able to sync with google calendar or ical.
thanks for making great software. keep up the good work

  23. Matheus said

I would really like if you guys made an istudiez pro app for mac so I can sync it

  24. Nyxie said

I would also really like to see some sort of program to sync it with, because when I had to restore my ipod, I lost all of my class info, assignments etc. And, I haven’t taken the time to redo it either. Waiting for 1.1

  25. Michael said

is it known yet whether or not the update will have a desktop version to sync with?
    Thanks

  26. jj said

    Andriy & Michael,
YOu guys shouldn’t be wasting your time waiting on others peoples request. It will make it harder to understand and you can just add concepts every once in a while. I think you shoud make it iStudent Pro 2. iStudent Pro was a decent name, but iStudent pro 2 (TM) would be awesome.

I keep up with all 4 of my Kids schedules and love the app, but my husband had a new itouch and was wanting to put the schedules I have created on his. I would love an online backup or some way to transfer the schedule to a computer or another iPhone or itouch. Thanks !!

I know they want it to be perfect but come on they said they would submit it in September and that was back in August. Now it is October and I’m dying to get it. Sorry, i will try to be patient.

  31. Erick said

The desktop version would b awsome, but u should first release the 1.1 cuz it’s been a month since u said “it’s coming soon” and stuff.
If there’s too many requests, then u should release two updates @ different times. U should just release wat u got(but with no bigs and stuff) and add more to it and then release the next version!

Nice job on the last update!

    Any updates??

  37. Mike said

Come on guys. We all appreciate that its difficult, but part of being a respectable developer is keeping to your time frames that you said.

Maybe you should consider updating us more often, even in response to comments would be appreciated.

Its a great app, but with out all these requested features that other apps already have, and without communication from you, theres not much keeping me on iStudiez.

    Hi,

I wish to purchase this app but I cannot do it from appstore due to country paypal restrictions (I do not have a credit card). Can I send the money via PayPal and obtain a
promo code to redeem the app? I should pay $2.99 to?

Thanks. I really need this app! Please help me out here!!

    Regards

Is there any way to add items in the calendar that don’t belong to a specific course, but still should belong in the schedule, because it’s related to school?

  40. RLA said

I second Mike. It’s all in the communication. iStudiez Pro was worth waiting for a month ago (approx. when it was estimated to be submitted to Apple, according to an e-mail from you two), but it really has dragged on. As I mentioned in a previous comment, I reverted back to pen and paper, eventually caving last week and buying another app to store (and back up – important!) my study notes etc. It is Very good.

I hope that the update comes ASAP (maybe it has been submitted already) because I’ve lost my patience with this and I believe it is the best student/teacher app out there. Tiny daily updates would be most appreciated, even every other day or just twice a week telling us where you are with it.

  41. Hanna said

And it would be really nice to be able to add items through the calendar and not having to go through the courses all the time.

  42. Timo said

    When does the update comes?

  43. Nick Sugai said

    Couple of requests:

-Can the TODAY page tell me what assignments I should be working if they are due the next day. If I have an exam the next day it should be reminding me to study not asking me “if I’m late to a party”

-When scheduling assignments it is difficult to do because it does not include the day (i.e. wednesday) of the date. Sometimes I don’t know the exact date, I just know that I have this due next Thursday.

  44. What is going on, 3 weeks since last update and nothing yet! Come on guys, I want PUSH!

  45. How do I get out of Sample Mode?

  46. Dg said

One thing Id like to see in future updates is projects. They have more than one step sometimes ten. I hope this will be implimented.

  47. Jem said

I didn’t see anything about a desktop version on here or their last post.

  48. Wuero said

God its been enough time alredy for the update to come out!!!! They should atleast have a date, so that we don’t get the app store icon weared out on our iPhone. I check the the app store like every day and not a sign of it still.

  49. Wuero said

And an other thing. If you guys are going to take so long, then you should add the grading system too.

  50. Chad said

Good news. I see from their Twitter feed that 1.1 is now in the hands of translators and will be submitted as soon as they give it back. That’s good news. I hope it is a quick turnaround. Hopefully the devs will share more info here.

  51. Jared said

Love the UI. Unlike most people on here, I’m not freaking out with impatience for the 1.1 update. Take your time; make it amazing! I do agree with one comment about upcoming assignments. That is helpful to see. A desktop app would be amazing too! Or do a collaboration with Logan Collins, who developed Schoolhouse. He can’t make an iPhone app. “I don’t have plans for an iPhone version, because I’m an intern at Apple during part of the year. Apple employees can’t release iPhone apps independently, unfortunately.” SO TEAM UP!!!

What is taking so long? You guys are selling us a product, we expect a reasonable timeline!
