iStudiez Lite now available on App Store

To make it easier for those of you who are not in favor of quick decisions, we’ve created iStudiez Lite version. It is intended to satisfy a want of those who feel it important to get acquainted with the app for FREE before buying it.

iStudiez Lite limits you to managing:
1 semester
3 courses
5 classes per course
7 assignments
5 instructors
2 holiday periods

NOTE: Push notifications and backup options are not included in iStudiez Lite.

Once you’ve familiarized yourself with the app and (of course!) found it absolutely indispensable to survive your academic epoch, you can upgrade to iStudiez Pro with all your data safely transferred to the pro version from the lite one.

iStudiez Pro promo in Apple Stores

Hi there! It seems that our app is being promoted in Apple Retail Stores in the US.

So in case you see the demo version exhibited in any store and can make some photos and send to us, we will be happy to give you a promo code in exchange.

Please only send us photos where the printed ad or demo version can be properly seen. When taking photos please ensure that they show the Apple Store interior as well (so that we understand that the photo has really been taken in one of the Apple Stores not somewhere else).

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

06 Sep 2009 Thanks for everyone who have sent us photos of iStudiez Pro promo in Apple Stores.  We’ve received lots of confirmations that our app was in fact promoted by Apple, and it’s great 🙂
So thanks again, no more photos needed as we are out of our promo codes for version 1.0.3.

Welcome iStudiez Pro (the new name for iStudent Pro) – version 1.0.3

The motivation for the change of app’s name is simple. Those of you who tried different schedule planners developed for iPhone before choosing our app will easily understand the reason: we consider iStudiez Pro unique in every respect and therefore we don’t want it to be associated with any other application that happened to bear similar name.

The new version is already available on App Store (update is free).

What’s new:
• App name changed to iStudiez Pro
• Fixed minor bugs related to iPhone OS 3.0 compatibility
• Traditional Chinese, Czech and Slovak languages added

We are now working to deliver the next update which will expand iStudiez Pro functions according to many requests that we have recently got from all of you guys. What we need is a bit of patience from you!

iStudent Pro: the story

We would like to tell more about our first app that took six months of hot discussions in order to make a really useful tool for students to handle their academics at all stairs of their education ladder.

From the very beginning we decided that the application must be universal and useable for as much students worldwide as possible. This made us spend weeks studying various academics from colleges, high schools and universities on the web. When we collected all necessary info, our hair stood on end as mixed together it all appeared to be a disaster. So we tried to find some common usuals from education structure of different countries and expand them further based on logic and intuition.

What’s particular about iStudent Pro is that the team grew in quality and quantity since the idea was developing. Architect called for interface design artist who called for copywriter and localizations manager who was then double checked by native speaker and native american students (which means the app survived tests on the battlefield). We also tortured everyone who happened to ask what exactly we are working on by making them test the app and giving their opinions and critical comments (on and on and on until the whole developers team were called nuts and maniacs).

Every time when the app was almost ready (first in December, then in January, then late February and finally end of March) we found it important to add new features or improve already existing. Each and every interface detail is thoroughly thought over and argued about, we wanted our users to feel the app to be natural to their thinking and mentality wherever they might need to use it.

Enjoy!
