See your classes with Siri Watch Face

We got actually excited with it as soon as we saw it on watchOS 4. Pretty handy!
You’d get excited too if you knew that you could actually see your schedule with Siri Watch Face.

How? Simple enough: using Schedule Sharing in iStudiez Pro you can export your schedule to the Calendar app and voilà!
Your classes will show up in the new Siri Watch Face.

What’s even cooler: they’ll be always up to date.

Use iStudiez Pro to the full!

Do you know that the latest update of iStudiez Pro for OS X has Semester’s Summary feature implemented? Let’s see how it works and what you can get out of it.

When you launch the app go to Planner first. Then click on any semester’s name. You will get the statistics for the whole semester including courses, study hours, assignments, exams, etc.

The Semester Summary allows sorting the courses by total and studied hours, see total and remaining assignments as well as statistics on your credits and grades.

More to it, you can edit semester’s name and its duration, the names of courses and number of credits, all of it right from the Summary. The progress bar offers you a visual reference of semester’s routine.

Enjoy!

Calendar Bonus Tips And Tricks!

When using Calendar in iStudiez Pro on your iPhone/iPod with iOS6 and iOS7, tap any date and you will see your schedule below the calendar. But it is obvious that when you look at your schedule by day, you do not need to see whole calendar in front of you.
So tap the same date again and you will see less calendar and more of your schedule!
See screenshots below.

Tap the same day again to get back to a standard Calendar view.

Your classes are still there!

You sometimes write to us that although the duration of your classes is set correctly, they still are not shown in your schedule after a certain date.

So let’s see. When a new semester is created, its duration is automatically set by default for 3 months starting from the date you created it.
The duration of the semester can be changed by clicking on a right upper corner view in Planner.
Keep in mind that the change of semester time frames does not affect start/end dates of your classes. So if you change the duration of a semester where you have previously added classes, then you will need to change their start/end dates as well.

Otherwise you will experience the situation you write to us about. E.g. if your class is set till July, but semester lasts till June only – your class won’t be shown in the schedule, because Calendar and Today panes show the schedule within your semester/classes timeframes only.

iPad version HINT – colors in calendar

Small, but nice surprise for those who miss colored dots in calendar from iPhone/iPod version of iStudiez Pro.

Simply tap any date on the calendar and a baloon will pop up showing your schedule for that particular day in color. Try moving your finger across the calendar for expanded info on other dates.

Enjoy! 🙂

User's Guide now available!

While working hard to make the app contain as many useful tools as it is possible within known limits, we got to understand the fact that some new users may experience difficulties trying to figure out some things that to us and those who’d been using the app from the beginning appear to be intuitive. We received some letters with “how to” questions and decided to create user’s guide to facilitate the acquaintance with the app to all who are new to it.

So if you just bought iStudiez Pro and are about to launch it for the first time, you may find it quite appropriate to visit the user’s guide page on our website and take a quick look at how the app can be used in the most effective of ways.

We hope that experienced users of iStudiez Pro will also find some good tips and tricks, especially when it goes about inputting some really complicated type of schedule in the app.
Feel free to leave your comments here, we are open to your advice, as always!

Prioritize your assignments

You can quickly change priority of any of your uncompleted assignments. Just double tap the check circle next to the assignment name and the balloon with normal, medium and high levels of priority will appear. Then choose the needed priority level and voilà! When you need to mark your prioritized task as completed, tap the check circle once.
