Notifications and Badge in iStudiez Pro – common questions

After most of you updated to iOS 5, we have received quite a number of letters with complaints that notifications and/or badge in iStudiez Pro were no longer working. Most likely you just need to double-check your settings. Here is what you need to do if you do not see your notifications anymore:

  1. Double-check the settings in iStudiez Pro.
    • Go to Today > Info page > Settings > Notifications and make sure this option is turned ON
    • Go to Today > Info page > Settings > App Icon Badge and turn it ON
  2. Open Settings application on your device (please do not confuse with settings within iStudiez Pro) > go to Notifications > iStudiez Pro > Turn ON Badge Icon and Notifications
  3. Re-launch iStudiez Pro

iStudiez Pro compatibility with iOS 5

We decided to post this as there are lots of complaints about the fact that iStudiez Pro does not work correctly on iOS 5.

In fact, we have already fixed most of the issues related to iOS 5 compatibility.
But the thing is that there is lots of code in iStudiez Pro that was developed by us from scratch (existing application programming interface did not provide generic methods for our purposes) in order to deliver unique user experience to you.
Some things that were developed that time by us now became common in iOS 5, but it means that previous solutions stopped working.

So now when we included new solutions based on iOS 5 they were considered as conflicting with Developer Agreement and the update that we tried submitting was rejected.

Until iOS 5 is released (at least as GM), we will not be able to re-submit the update with iOS 5 compatibility. As soon as iOS 5 is officially out, we will submit the update immediately.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
