A Time Zone bug

Version 1.4. is out to the App Store and we’ve received several complaints about the weird bug that appears when setting the time for classes: instead of AM the app’s showing PM time or time shifts all the time depending on your location.

We’ve taken a close look to the issue and it appeared that in iOS 4 the time zone support is not working the same way it used to in iOS 3.1.2. It is not what you call a nice surprise, but we can deal with it.

Now, if you are among those who experience this problem please do the following: go to Settings App > General > Date and Time and make sure that Set Automatically is ON.

We assume doing this way will fix the issue.

Meanwhile we’are submiting a quick fix to the App Store.
ALSO, the fix will solve the problem for those who use iPhone 3G and experience crashes after the update. Crashes are caused by local push notifications option which eats more memory (but save your traffic actually).

That did unfortunately not fix it for me. I already had “Set Automatically” set to ON and setting it to OFF and then ON again also didn’t fix it.

I am a German user, system language is set to English, region format is set to Germany, calendar to Gregorian and 24-Hour Time to ON.

    My problems are these:
    – in iStudiez Pro > Settings > Notifications > Default Time: I have set the clock to 12:30 but it shows 11:21 in the field instead.
    – when editing the time for a class e.g. I set it to 13:15 and it shows 12:15 …

    I hope I could help.

I tried this fix for the time zone bug and it did not solve the issue. I really enjoy this app and would love it if the time worked correctly.

    Thank you,

I couldn’t solve the same problem neither. To fix the problem, I tried to find “set automatically” option in “Date & Time”, but there is not such option. I’m using iPod touch 3rd generation. I love the app. Hope you would fix the problem.

Time zone issue is not solved by your advice. And also I got crash on iPhone3GS after changing iCal entry handling option turned on/off several times. Is there any way to run iStudiez Pro with keeping current data? (I do not want to restore…)

Same problem. Sent it in for submission and got redirected here. I agree, wonderful app. But it would be nice if it worked. :-

@Connor Williams I think the licence should be like iPad, iPhone and iPod: If you have one, you have them all.

Same problem and my date and time settings were already correct.

This won’t work for iPod touch users, since it can’t automatically set the time zone.
    The app CRASHES. EVERY. TIME.

Fix the app quick, it used to be a 5-star app.

Btw.. iStudiez Pro seem slow at startup after iOS 4 update, if multitasking iStudiez Pro start very fast, but if I close the app and open it again, it take about 7-8 secs to load my schedule. why? I’m using iPhone 3GS iOS 4

  • HengSu Kim

vr1.4.1 does not solve the hang-on-launch issue in my iPhone3GS/iOS4.01…
Is there anyone having this issue?
(I hope iStudiez Pro have drag&drop file sharing function in iTunes’ App tab)

Somehow, without any modification, it now works again. I do not know what is going on…

If I set iOS Calendar Events to ON, it work everything and perfect time.

If I set iOS Calendar Events to OFF, it not work because I set class by 9am but when use landscape calendar and class time will show up 11am.

I think it would be great to be able to create checklists inside tasks. I have to get some materials for a class, and it’s a bit annoying to se the materials in the notes area. 😀
