iStudiez Pro featured in iPad – the Creative Pro’s Guide magazine

“The features and tutorials you’ll discover in the issue will equip you with the skills to go out and start pushing your content onto the 3 million iPad users ready and waiting to be entertained, challenged, aided or informed by your brilliant app idea.”

We were asked to share our experience in creating user-friendly interface for iStudiez Pro (iPad version) by Computer Arts publishing company. Some of our thoughts and tips were put into the iPad – the creative pro’s guide printed magazine.

We’ve seen the content and we must say it is really professional work and can be really helpful for those who only start developing apps for iPad, but we cannot disclose any sneak pics here according to the agreement with the publisher. However, we can at least publish the magazine cover here.

Thanks for Computer Arts efforts and true interest in our small input.

    Hey,
When I got my first iPod, I was looking a way to organise myself. Now that I have got a iPhone, I can use the Internet and do my research pretty much anywhere. I have been searching for the best organiser app for a student like me. I have seen all kind of reviews on the web, I have gone through the top ten of organiser app and finally tested many organiser apps. But never found one which suits me! When I found iStudiez, I was gob smacked by the amazing design you guys came up with! I knew that iStudiez was perfect for me! I knew that you guys really put every blood, sweat and tears into bringing iStudiez to life!
Unfortunatly, since it’s summer, I’m currently not looking into buying iStudiez yet! But when college starts, I will defiantly be wanting iStudiez Pro in my palms! :)
Furthermore can I also request a little feature to be added? This would be the intergration of Googles Calender and Google Tasks! If you guys added this, you guys would really get alot of reputation.
And finally thank you for being there at the right time and place for creating iStudiez!
    Thanks, Sunite

Hi, you guys are doing a GREAT job. So, are you going too make your “unofficial” desktop application universal, or are you going to add some native features?

    • https://istudentpro.com iStudiez Pro Team

      Thanks Arlene :)
Let’s talk about it just in several weeks, ok?

  • Francis

Hi – firstly some praise as your software has allowed me to organise myself for the current semester (I’m in New Zealand and we’re now in our secod week of the 2nd semester) which, as my last semester at university, is pretty full on.

I do, however, have two questions. Firstly, where is the iPad specific guide? There are a few marked differences between the two versions, so an iPad guide would be appreciated. And secondly, where is the weekly overview for the iPad version? I cannot find a way to display a weekly timetable for the coming week – this would be a great addition if it is not yet available because it would allow me to easily see where I would have time to schedule meetings, for example.

This programme that you have designed is a fantastic way to oranise my daily life – I think it has the potential to evolve into a great daily planner for after university, so I look forward to possibly seeing an iPlanzPro 😉

Francis, week view for iPad will definitely find its way into the app with the updates. As for guide for iPad version, well, honestly it did not occur to our mind to create one, but maybe you are right and at least a simple one would do… we’ll think about it.

I reported this bug to your support email a week ago, but no one’s responded.

I have notifications for iStudiez Pro turned off in both iPod settings and iStudiez settings. Why am I still getting notifications from iStudiez?

I used to be a big fan of iStudiez Pro, but these bugs are going to force me to switch to a new app.

  • Jibolun

    Hi,
I’d like to say your app is really great, I use it everyday at school and I just love it. I have two questions. 1) What does the red clock icon in the Week view indicates? 2) How can I activate Local Push Notifications? I can’t find any options in the Settings App, and notifications appear at a randon hour, not at the time specified in the app settings.

I hope you can help me, thanks! 😀

  • Timo Vink

    Hey,
I love the app, I just have 2 questions:
    1) is it possible to have a course that spans 2 or more semesters (without just adding them to both semesters, cuz that messes up the grading)
    2) If you set all the weights in advance, then it marks all assignments that aren’t completed or assigned yet as having 0%. For example, let’s say I did an assignment that will count as 30% of my final grade (let’s say I got 80% on it) but I haven’t completed the assignments/exams that make up the remaining 70% yet. It will show your current grade as being a 24%. I’d rather it’d show as 80%. Is this possible? Or should I just adjust the weights after each assignment I complete so that it adds up to a 100%?
