    IPAD and I have a few days ago I purchased your program istudiez Pro My problem is that the timing of my IPAD is not synchronized with the calendar of Istudiez. How could I? Is it possible to synchronize my calendar with Istudiez IPAD?

      Hi Javier, using iOS 4 allows you enter your events in the device calendar and see them in iStudiez Pro, but not vice versa so far.

    Hide the Birthday calendar would be great… There’re applications on the store that use the same feature to allow showing iOS calendar and allow to hide or show them… Thank’s and sorry for my english…

    Hello iStudiez,
    Great to see that you update your app so often, I will tell all my friends about this great app.

    But i have a question about the app. Its my first year i’m using this app so i have to figure out alot.

    If I enter a class like biology. I can enter the days and a time how late i have the class but they are not at the same time on the diffrence days.. How can i do this in a correct way?

    Hope you can help me (i’m using the ipad version)

    (btw is it posseble to sync my iphone and ipad app?)

      Nick, in your case, if you have same classes during the week, but on different times, you will need to input such classes as separate and make each repeat once a week.

    I love iStudiez Pro, bought it a while back along with iHomework. iHomework has a desktop app and sync, though it’s not very good (he says he’s releasing a new version). Are there any plans – or existing way now – to sync my iStudiez data between my iPad and my iPhone? If I have to manually update each device it’s really not so convenient…

    I got iStudiez Pro a while ago and it took some time getting use to…
    When I started plugging in my classes it started getting repetitive with typing in the same information for the same classes. (my school schedule is pretty complex and changes every quarter)
    I tried using a copy and paste feature for classes and nada, zip, nothin.
    I’ve been having trouble copying & pasting my courses/classes/semester!!
    Seems very, very, repetitive…

      Choa, copy/paste option is not implemented officially, we did not announce this feature, so might work not as you expect.

    hey i’m wondering what i should do about the fact that i have my courses in iCal and so i have duplicate events showing up in iStudiez Pro. like, on wednesdays i have class at 4:40, so when i’m in iStudiez wednesdays has two blue dots, one for the iStudiez scheduled class and one for the ical event. i feel like there’s no really good way to fix this until there’s a desktop app to go with this, am i right?
    btw, any idea on how much the desktop app is going to cost? maybe a discount for iStudiez Pro users? 😀 thank you!

      Hi Isis, this is why you have iStudiez Pro as separate planner, you don’t need to add your classes in iCal, just add them in iStudiez Pro :)
      And no info so far on desktop cost, sorry…

    I use istudiez pro on my ipad and itouch, but i recently got an android phone. I love this app, and having it on my phone would be amazing. I have another app on there called Grades, and it’s ok, it does it’s job to the most basic level, but I still miss istudiez. Is there any chance of u guys making an android app?

    It would be really nice if the iPad version of the app was more similar to the iPod version where there are tabs at the bottom for the calendar, assignments, classes, etc. I really would like to be able to view a full calendar in the iPad version like you can in the iPod version and also sync the istudiez calendar with iCal. Other than that this app is great!

    Great app, but I would like to request a feature. Many of my courses have weekly assignments, due the same time, every week, throughout the semester. I’d like a way to indicate that an assignment is weekly, instead of having to enter each one individually.

    I love this app! The only thing that keeps it from being perfect, is the repeat choices. I live in an area where our school uses a 1 & 2 day schedule. This would be fine, but the problem is it is based off of even and odd number days of the month. So setting it to change every other work day doesn’t work. You should add even and odd repeat settings for schedules, as I don’t think I am the only one who has this problem. I hope this is fixed in a new version, preferably before school starts.

    Hi, first of all i´d like to say i absolutely love this app, it´s by far one that i use the most , i´m glad you guys are working in sync between the ipad and iphone… I´d like to suggest a tool to allow us register our absence (the classes we missed), something like a tally counter with register.
    it´s awesome the support you give, would be great if all the developers were like you guys…

      Hi Paula, option to mark absense sounds interesting, but requires total rethinking of planner options, so we’ll take it into consideration for now. Until we add this option how about not skipping at all? 😉

    Hi,
    are there any plans to add another Grading Scale? I miss the german one. That means grades from 1,0 – 5,0 (at Universities) with these Steps: 1,0 – 1,3 – 1,7 – 2,0 – 2,3 – 2,7 – 3,0 – 3,3 – 3,7 – 4,0 – 5,0.

    I’d love to see this in a future update.

      Hi Arthur, yes, we are aware of this, will add. But so far you can alter letter grading scale to survive :)

    Great app, but when I add a calendar event, it’s only showing in the native calendar and not in Istudiez calendar, even though I added it withing that program.

    Is this how it’s meant to be or is it a bug?

For example, let’s say I did an assignment that will count as 30% of my final grade (let’s say I got 80% on it) but I haven’t completed the assignments/exams that make up the remaining 70% yet. It will show your current grade as being a 24%. I’d rather it’d show as 80%. Is this possible? Or should I just adjust the weights after each assignment I complete so that it adds up to a 100%?”

    Hey team! Amazing app, I absolutely love it.

    My school does this thing where we have “Monday schedule” on a Wednesday. Usually happens when a Monday has been skipped due to a holiday.

    Is there any way you can integrate such a function into iStudiez? Tapping on the affected day and checking off “use day X’s schedule for this date”?

    I have iStudiez Pro on my iPhone 4 and on my iPad. On my iPhone, it magically synced with my iCal, however, I can’t figure out how to make my iPad version sync..??!
    Also, if I add assignments on my iPad version, will it sync to my iPhone and vice-versa?

    We have a situation where (Day 1) is on Monday and Monday is a Holiday, (Day1) then goes to Tuesday is there a way to program this. This is a great app, which both my son and exchange student are using and loving but it won’t work if we can not fix this problem. Thanks so much…

      Hi Kelly, you mean shift of schedule due to holidays, which is not avaialble yet in iStudiez Pro. The solution for you is not to enter holidays if your schedule shifts after them. We’ll deliver some solution soon…

    I have the same problem as Isis. For personal reasons, I like to have my classes on iCal. Is it at all possible to have the two calendars more integrated? For example, could the classes created in the app show up in iCal rather than creating the events in both apps? This would be such a great feature!

    I am also having the same issue as Kon. For one of my classes, I inputted all of the grade weights, then all of the homework assignments I would have for the next couple of weeks. I marked them as done and enter the scores as I complete them. I noticed that it shows I have a failing grade in the class, when I actually have an “A”.

    One more request. If an exam is created for a class, could you have exam replace the class for that day or at least make it optional? The exams for my classes are always taken in the same building and room as class is and at the scheduled class time. It would be nice if I didn’t have to re-enter the time and place each time I schedule an exam. Maybe there could be something like a checkbox in the time and location fields when editing the details of an exam that looks something like this:
    Same as scheduled class

    – ability to choose a different color for the device’s calendars that are shown in the calendar view

    I’m saying this because the program shows all my birthdays, and it’s a big mess in the month view!…

      Nicolas, so far due to Apple’s limitations you cannot choose which calendar you would like to see in iStudiez Pro.

    As long as were suggesting product features, how bout an option for the default due date for an assignment to be the day of the next class for the course that said assignment is for?

    Otherwise, this app is close to perfect!!!!

    I am a new user of the app and I love it. I was wondering if there was a PC application being developed to sync with iStudiez on your phone. As a new user of iStudiez, making major changes or creating a whole new semester can take a long time on a iphone. I think a syncable PC application would help make initial usage and major changes to the app information faster and easier.

    I just buy yesterday and try to entry my data, but it crash many times with showing no word and broken picture
    The app can’t be close by home screen button and require restart the iphone.
    Even delete the app in iphone and sync with iTunes again cannot help.
    I must completely delete it and install from app store, then I can use it serval minutes and it crash again…..
    I have just update the iOS 4.1, is the app not compatiable with it?
    I really feel good for this app but this problem really annoy me…

    Apart from this, can the app sync with google calendar? I would also like to check my schedule when I have not carry iphone.

    I am coming up on the end of my att contract, and am thinking about switching to a droid phone. This app is one of a small handful that I can honestly say I use every day, and I’d hate to have to leave it behind when I switch. Please Please Please make a Droid version!

    Hello! I just wanted to post here to see if I will get a response before I submit a user rating on iTunes. It would be nice if iStudiez Pro can incorporate some features for graduate students.

    A suggestion of features for Graduate Students, and Professionals.

    1) Grading feature for graduate student instructor to keep track of their students.

    2) Classifications for thesis or dissertation option instead of having to pick a class with a schedule (it gets annoying having to pick days, when I’m doing research on a daily basis). A place to keep track of literature reviews, graduate student exams such as the qualifying “Orals” exam.

    3) The option to repeat task such as studying for GRE, (SAT for teeny boppers using this app) Oral Qualifying exams etc.

    4) The option in the Instructor section to organize it in a way to track dissertation committees, thesis committees, etc. A way to keep track of perspective dissertation or thesis committee, where we can add notes when we are “shopping” for the right committee.

    I figure i’d let you guys know some features I would like since this application is “Academic”, and it would be really nice to add features for teachers, and graduate students. I’ll definitely recommend this app to my “graduate” department once you guys incorporate appropriate features. Until then, I’ll wait for a response before I post a review on iTunes.

    I have some suggestions:

    (1) Option to sort & view courses and classes in the planner alphabetically or by time manner, instead of the order of addition.

    (2) Option to copy & past course/class/assignment.

    (3) Option to customize the Overall GPA Formula.

    (4) A forum for iStudiez fans would be (+OK).

    I cannot add a quiz to the calendar. Should I treat quiz as an exam or assignment? I am confused about that.

    And I get an advice: As we see, assignment has a paper clip, exam has a red flag, what if quiz has a small question mark or exclamation point.
    How about the ability to make a different assignment: not a homework assignment or an exam, but a QUIZ? It could have it’s own little icon (assignments have the paper clip, exams have red flags… Perhaps quizzes/tests could have a pencil or something).

    This is just a plain old feature request, but I would love integration with Things (Cultured Code.) Something as ‘simple’ (not to code or coordinate, i am sure) as having homework show up as tasks and syncing checked/unchecked status.

    After this update, iStudiez Pro crashes every time I open it. I have tried restarting my iPad, doing a hard reset, and even re-syncing it with my computer but it still just crashes.

    All my course work is on this app, so I’d like to be able to use it!

      3. Restart your device;
      4. Reinstall the app;

    Stopped working on iPad since update – cannot alter dates of assignments as it crashes. Cannot delete assignments and re-enter with new dates it crashes. Cannot mark assignments complete because after a crash the assignments are back as before. No problems until this; have restarted my device to no avail.

    In Planner, Semesters, Courses is it possible to sort the order that the classes appear in, by day? I use this for teaching and would find it handy to ensure I had all the courses timetabled in advance. Am I missing something?

      Adrian, actually, you can see your schedule per day in Calendar view, and classes appear chronologically.

    The assignments show up EVERYDAY before it is set to be completed. It’s annoying not being able to see all of your assignments to do on one screen.

    Ios4.2 compatibility would be EXCELLENT as well (as you might have heard)
    Can’t you just release a bug fix update, but secretly hide iOS 4.2 compatibility in there so that apple won’t block your app? Then you can post a fix immediately!!! Plz help!

    I would really love having a version of iStudiez Pro for Mac. Of course there must be a synchronisation possible between the devices, but it would make the program much more usable for me since I am using my Iphone only for making notes during the lesson and adding assessments, but my mac for actually doing my homework and planning the next day. Are you already thinking of one version for mac?

      Shibani, you should have entered credits. If your educational system does not use credits, just enter 1 in that field.

    I have put my information into the iStudiez app on multiple occasions and twice it has crashed and I have lost all my information. I believe this application can be great, but it MUST stop deleting my class information! I like this application a lot! Please fix this right away! I can’t keep putting my class information in there three times because it crashes. Yes I have restarted and it still will not stop crashing! Help!!

    I’m also wondering about the shift of schedule due to holidays. Currently I have to redo the whole schedule everytime there’s a holiday, which is nearly once a month. It’s really becoming a pain. I love the app, but need the holiday shift. Is there an ETA?

      Hi Pedro, this problem has a issue with daylight saving, and we really can’t reproduce it. We heard that users of other apps are also experiencing similar problems, so maybe it is not our bug at all.

    I just purchased this app and it seems to be working great. My only problem is I can’t figure out how to enter assignments that repeat daily without entering them each time individually. Isn’t there a way you can enter an assignment that recurs with a repeat function rather than entering it every time? Even copying doesn’t seem to be much of a shortcut. I still have to copy and paste individually on each day.

      Please describe the issue you have faced in a more detailed way.
      Where have you entered the quiz? Was it entered as exam, class, grade? Etc.

    I also think the ability to add quizzes instead of just tests would be helpful. I have a class where I have a few exams throughout the semester but often have both online and in class quizzes. I treat the online quizzes like assignments so inputing them really isn’t a problem right now, but it would be helpful if I could add a quiz to the date I’m going to be quizzed in class.
