iStudiez Pro 1.5.1 available in the App Store

Just a quick note for you guys to be aware what’s included in the update:

iPhone/iPod/iPad

Added option to select separate iCal calendars to show in iStudiez Pro
Added Sync progress indicator
Fixed bug when semester related events showed outside the semester timeframes
Almost all localizations corrected

Added new icon for Birthdays calendar
Page Flip performance improved

We continue working to implement your requests. Some of them are rather complicated and it takes time, but we are on our way to deliver more good and useful features to you.

I appreciate that now we can sync specific iCal calendars now. Sync between the Mac app and iOS app seems faster,

It sure would be nice to have a way to easily enter recurring assignments (without having to re-enter them multiple times)

Today I bought the iStudiezPro Mac and iPhones versions, and when i finished inputting my data in the Mac version and then syncing to the iPhone, the iPhone app after freezes and exits. Now I cannot use the iPhone app at all since it continues to now freeze and exit as soon as its open.

Could you please resolve this issue as soon as possible, Thank you.

I have the Mac an iPad and iPhone version.

I want one thing…to be able to view an assignment full screen. As a student I want to be able to view an assigment I have already created full page. What’s the point of having an assignment if I can only read it one line at a time? This is ok on iPhone, but iPad not so much. If I can edit in this mode cool, but I would loventhe choice to just view.

uhhh yeah so i spent $10 on the app that i’ve been waiting how many months for… and now I find out that the ONLY kind of sync it has with my itouch is cloud sync. Really, iStudiez? Have you ever heard of the term “poor student”? Those $10 could have been used to purchase, say, a book that I need for class. instead I wasted it on this app that is useless to me because i can’t afford to spend $99/year on mobileme. and i flunk class participation for the day on tuesday because i don’t have the money to get the book i need to read. thanks so much.

  Isis, you do not need MobileMe to cloud sync. Please read the guide.

I bought the latest version of iStudiez Pro for mac (already bought the iphone version) and I love it! But I see a lot of potential for improvements.

For instance (I think someone already asked for this), I would like to assign the total weight of a grade and input the REAL grade I got to do a comparison of my progress.

As example:

Each of my test have a different weight for the final grade in the semester, so, I will put the percentages to each test (1st test – 20%, 2nd test – 25%, etc) and then, when I have my grade, I’ll assign the REAL one that I got (18% from 20%, 22% from 25%) and at the end see these grades as the grand total in a comparison chart with a summary of activities done in the whole semester (showing xx% from 100% with each completed task).

The same apply to projects, homeworks, etc…

Hope you can make it happen for a next update, it would be great. (:

Every time I try to sign in I receive a message saying Sync Error in bold print and then underneath that it says Please try again in a few minutes. I have been able to sign in by using my phone i just can not sign in through the iStudiez Pro on my Mac Book pro. I also can not get my Iphone to sync with my mac. I have all the updates and i have the sync switch on in my phone and in the computer.

I can’t put new dataon my iphone4 and ipad1, the app crash and exit. The data i have on my mac don’t sync to my iphone nor ipad. When i choose to sync it on a new device the cloud sync put the demostration data intead of my own. Errrr… I can.t even put my classes because all the apps crashs

I just have one question: is there another possibility (direct WiFi for instance) than the “cloud sync” to sync the Mac app and the iPhone/iPad app?

This point is holding me back from buying the Mac app.. I really don’t want any of my data being synced over “a cloud”..

When I put in exams for a course that took place the previous semester it doesn’t display on the calendar? I often have most of my exams in the final semester, after they are taught… is there any way of getting these exams to display on the calendar?

  Jack, exams will only show when they are input in frames of your semester. You can try the following: extend your semester and input holidays, your exams will show up during holidays.

Is there another way to sync the mac app with the iPhone&iPad than “over the cloud” (via direct Wi-Fi for instance)?

As I don’t want to sync my data over “a cloud”, this is preventing me from buying the mac app..

  S, there is no other way. You can sync iPad and iPhone through cloud, but to sync to your mac you will need iStudiez Pro for Mac

I’ve been trying to figure out what exactly the WEEK NUMBERS option in setting does for me in the calender screen. I assume its supposed to label the weeks 1,2,3,4, and so on from the day my semester started, but I don’t see anything.

How can i use the Week Numbers feature, its on, but i notice nothing different?

The only bug I found in your app this far is the one about MARKS. When I choose the preference for Percentage, it works. Same for Letters. Buuut, when I choose points (I currently have point marks) it simply keeps on a Percentage marking…
Could you please fix that in the next update? You app is actually amazing ! I love it, it is installed in my iPhone and my Mac, but the marks issue is really frustrating..

Request: add a setting to only view assignments for current semester. When I have to view assignments by course, I have to scroll through all semesters courses!

I was curious about grading for assignments. If you turn in an assignment you usually don’t get the grade until the teacher hands it back. On the app, as soon as you click the checkbox for an assignment to indicate that it is done the grading feature comes up. It is this way in both the iPhone app and the Mac app. It would be a useful feature for there to be a way to comeback and put in the points/percentage/letter grade after you have received this information. So you could click it being done, but come back and put the grade in when you actually have it. What do you think?

My apologies, I found where you can do that. But there is nothing for percentages or letter grades. Maybe add an option to change to one of those platforms? Sorry for the first post.

Hello I have a suggestion.
I am currently a Windows 7 user and I would find this application very useful to use if it was compatible with Windows (I can’t afford a mac, ipod touch or an iphone I’m a poor student). As a University Student it’s hard for me to keep track on my assignments, I have Dyslexia and I would find this application very useful to help me study better and would remind me on what assignments are due in.
Thank you if you can make this happen it would mean the world to me and quite literally I can take control over my studies again and improve with my work for a better future with university and the future.

I have several problems with the current Mac version:
– Several things are showed in German. (I set my Mac to English)
– When not signed in, I am asked every 5 minute or so to log in
– I wanted to copy the classes from the 1. semester to the 2. which didn’t work so I dragged and dropped them into the 2. semester. Worked fine, everything there, BUT no classes appeared in the schedule (Overview). Not for the 1. nor the 2. semester.

So I fixed the not appearing error by looking through the classes. In every specific class itself was noted from when to when they are hold. Could you please disable this or make an easier way to copy classes from one semester to another? Because it’s really annoying to set the date of each class if you already have them in a semester with set dates.

Is it possible to sync the iStudiez calendar to iCal? I would love to be able to view my classtimes in the normal calendar when I make plans.

Great Product but i am having an issue with the Mac version. I input all the data onto my ipad and was able to sync with my iphone but when i go to sync data with my mac i cant sign in to the cloud sync because the option for signing in and syncing data are not available in the data tab. They are present but i am not able to select them. Any solutions?
