iStudiez Pro Blog • iStudiez Pro version 1.5.4 submitted to App Store

As there were some issues reported bugs in version 1.5.3 of iStudiez Pro, we investigated most of them and now delivering the solution.
Sorry to keep you waiting, but we decided to test it more than usual this time taking into account hot back-to-school season.

Fixed:

Issue when classes were not shown in Today view
Bug when exam notifications settings were not displayed
Crash when entering Percent Grading Scale view
Bug related to refresh of Semester view
Bug when days of week were not displayed in Week view
Bug when decimal points were rounded to one decimal after comma in GPA scale view
Occasional crashes during sync process
Issue when entering Instructor’s name from Korean keyboard.

Bonus feature:

Added Sync button in Today view for iPhone/iPod Touch

Glad to see the sync button being added. Never liked flailing my phone around.

One thing I would like to see though: I have some reviews that happen the first (example) wednesday of each month. I’ve tried fiddling with weeks to get it in my calendar but it won’t work. It would be nice to see a ‘first’ or ‘last’ weekday of the month option if doable.

I loved this app on my iPad so much I bought the mac app so I could sync. Guess what … It doesn’t work and you provide no “help” so am I just out $9.99? I followed all the directions and it says it’s syncing but there isn’t a single bit of information coming to the app on my mac. So sad.

Will this fix crashes? I have this app loaded on my kids’ ipods. Every so often the app just quits as soon as they try to open it up. The only thing to do is delete the app and reload it, then load the assignments back in from the backup data. This has happened multiple times, and it’s really getting annoying. What could be causing this instability? They only have apps downloaded from Apple. I LOVE, LOVE this app. But we didn’t have this problem last school year when we used it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

  Becky, yes we fixed a lot of issues in 1.5.4, so let’s wait until it is approved by Apple.

Its great u already fix all this guys and thx, but I cant see the update on my AppStore (Mexico) I got an Iphone 4 with the app but still on version 1.5.3 (389) so just wondering why my AppStore doesnt show the update.

Any update on the ability to sync istudiez data with iCal? I realize the reverse is possible — but, quite frankly, I want to use iCal as my primary calendar. This seems to be a highly requested feature. Timeline? Thanks.

I need to export my class schedule to iOS cal on the iPhone. please take my opinion. i’m univ. student, so I usually use this app on my iphone but sometimes an appointment out of school is made. In this situation I type it in my iOS cal due to the cal category, but I cant see my class time in the calendar app, so I should open iStudiez and check my schedule and back to the cal app and avoid my class time and type it. It is so unefficient. Now it’s possible to import cal schedule into iStudiez but vice versa isn’t possible. I think the efficiency is the key factor of this app and user.

Why I can not view courses and add assignment to course in today view on ipad? No more classes today? I know this….. Why I can view classes from yesterday and tomorrow but not today?

  jivko, do you not see classes that are in schedule right this minute or you don’t see classes that already ended today?

I cannot speak for jivko, but on my iPad NONE of the classes for the current day show up in today view at any time, whether before or after the class. This is with the latest released update.

  Jivko, you can do it through Calendar. Today view only shows classes that are running now or upcoming for the current day.
