Announcing terrific tool for teachers: iTeacherBook

We have just submitted the new app, this time exclusively for teachers, professors, coaches and all of faculty members in general.

iTeacherBook is a sister app for iStudiez Pro and was developed for iPhone/iPod Touch as a response for multiple requests from teachers who already tried and enjoyed iStudiez Pro.

iTeacherBook not only allows planning a teacher’s schedule and tasks, but also gives an option of tracking attendance of all students, send assignments by email right from the app as well as mark and observe the progress of students for every course and class they attend (grades option).

The app makes it possible to track schedule and progress of students both in real-time mode and post factum in the form of reports in .csv format.

We are proud to announce it here for the first time and hope you guys will help us spread the news among your teachers 😉

You are more than welcome to learn more details here: iteacherbook.com

P.S. The app is now in review and will be available in the App Store as soon as it is approved by Apple.

    pc version

Term starts tomorrow so I hope that apple processes this quickly so I can use if for the new school year
If only you’d got it sorted over the summer
But isn’t that the way with new tech.
Also, I hope you’ve allowed for some UK terminology as well
But that does sound rather insular, no?

    • https://istudentpro.com iStudiez Pro Team

David, the app is localized into British, it depends on your device language settings.

Hi. I have iStudiez Pro for the iPod, but i’m leaving soon the iPod to just stick to my android Samsung Galaxy S, i got sick with wolking around with too devices, no need, realy. So when u guys are porting this awsome app to Android?
    Cheers

  • John

An Android app and a web interface would make this a much easier “sell” to schools. My eldest son attends a non-traditional school, in which both students and faculty would benefit greatly from something like this.

I just bought iStudiez (i’m a teacher) and now i see this! argh!

  • Vincent Wong

Very exciting news. A few comments at a glance after a first pass at the application :
    1) Any plans for a companion Mac or PC application to facilitate list and schedule management?
    2) A student disciplinary tracking feature might be interesting (i.e. the ability to attach notes/comments/intervention type to each attendance record.
    3) The ability to attach voice notes to a course or student disciplinary record.
    4) Any plans for a cloud type service and API so that schools could extend the app into a more complete solution.

  • 7cath

    Awesome!
    Same question as Vincent:
    1) will a Mac app be available, and if so, when?
    2) do you plan to add other languages (French as far as I’m concerned)?
    Keep up the good work!

Hope for an iPad version of iTeacherBook with capabilities to mail or print a detailed summary of the notes to each course planned or completed. So it could be read and printed through my PC. Apparently bought the iStudiez Pro but can’t get any data out for printing!?

    • https://istudentpro.com iStudiez Pro Team

Mats, no printing option is available so far.

  • drqandil

    Thanks for your promptly answer.
You know, MacBook is better for a productive work, and most of us (teachers) have a MacBook, not a Ipad !!

hello! i am using iTeacherbook on iPhone, is terrific! but, i would really like to have it on Android too! would you launch it anytime soon or not?
if not, do you have any recommendation for a similar Android app?

    • https://istudentpro.com iStudiez Pro Team

  • Timbobrd

Hi, little being the times as only just got the iStudiez app… love it and getting all my students to get it too! Soon as I saw the iTeacherBook app I grabbed that too but was disappointed to find it was only iPhone so far… I know you mention iPad app in development but is there a date yet?

    • https://istudentpro.com iStudiez Pro Team

Timbobrd, thanks a lot. iPad versio of iTeacherBook is in the process of development, we hope to release very soon.

  • Timbobrd

Thanks for reply, and I obviously meant behind not being the times!! I’ve been playing with iTeacherBook more, and showing my colleagues how brilliant it is… quick question, is there a way of emailing/exporting attendance, so it can be sent through to office staff?

  • Nadia

Hi. I thought that being the “sister” program to iStudiez Pro, that the two apps would be integrated such that enrolling students would push the course information to the students iStudiez account. It looks like this is not the case; if I’m mistaken, please offer guidance on how to go about that; if not, please let me know if there are plans to add that feature. Thanks.

    • https://istudentpro.com iStudiez Pro Team

Nadia, what sister program you keep in mind?

  • John

Hi,I downloaded this the other day. I’m now all ready to go for the next term ahead. I used iStudiez Pro last year and found it very useful to keep track of both time and my timetable.

I emailed class csv data to myself, this then allows me to add pupils names automatically to iTeacherBook. Looking forward to trying this out, hopefully this works well for attendance in the workshop. No more paper attendance!
