iStudiez Pro version 1.5.5 is available in the App Store

The update includes long craved-for iOS 5 compatibility, and we are glad that we finally are able to satisfy your requests. We hope that everything works, but in case there are some lacks in compatibility, we will address them all gradually. So, in details:

Added:

  • iOS 5 compatibility
  • Overnight events to be shown in Week View

Fixed:

  • Problem when current events disappeared from Today view on iPad
  • Italian localization corrected

    Please add a way to have the calendar merge with iCal so all my classes are able to be seen on my calendar.

    Having the same issue as thomas7.. removed and installed it many times issue keeps reappearing… running iOS 5.0 on an iPhone 3GS 8GB

    Mine is still not syncing the configs from my Mac with my iPhone (iOS 5)… I’ve already deleted and reinstalled the app on my phone, and created a new account for doing the sync but it still won´t work. =/

    Same issue as thomas7. Synced fine the very first time but now whenever I open the app (iPhone version ) it just says “Loading…” with a process bar that doesnt move.

    I’m also having the same problem as luke i deleted and reinstalled. The first time opening it works fine and I’ll sync it with my data together everything as it was and it’ll work as long as I don’t shut app down from multitasking. Once I do I get the loading screen where it appears to be loading but the status bar never progresses. iPhone 4s with ios 5

    The issue is resolved when the app is deleted and reinstalled but appears again a short time later.

    Then the message loading is on the screen it becomes unresponsive.

    Again this is running the latest build of the app with iOS 5 on an iPhone 3GS. I never encountered the issue running iOS 4.3.5 and the previous build of the app.

      Luke, from which version you updated? This is a strange problem. Do you use official version of the app?

    When I put the week view in portait mode the app quits unexpectedly. I have iOS 5, is there somebody else with this bug?
    In addition, I think you have to add a Notes section!

    The app on my 4S isn’t working. It works on the first install and then after I sync from server and close the app, when I come back later it just says loading and doesn’t do anything until I delete the app again and install. Can someone fix this? Thanks!!!

    I, too, am having the problem with the loading screen but it never going anywhere. iPhone 4S, 64GB, too… same issue with iPhone 4 32GB AT&T
    Deleting and reinstalling on a totally different phone didn’t even help.

    No it is not a problem with my device it is a problem with the app, as you can see many people are having the same problem as me. Most likely you will have to change something in the app to fix the bugs on the iPhone 4S. It runs fine on my 3GS but also look at your app store review ratings people are having problems there too

    On my iMac; when I close the app it shuts down—rather than still remaining open in the dock. It only does this on my iMac…not on my Macbook Air. What is the problem?

    I’m using the latest version from the AppStore iStudiez Pro 1.5.5 on iOS 5.0. I’d say it was build 1.5.4 it was the build in the AppStore before you pushed the iOS 5 compatible app. I am also running the latest Mac app so the syncing shouldn’t be an issue.

    It is the official app used and should also note that the phone is not jailbroken. As the other users say it syncs after first install but on your return you are greated with “Loading …. “.

    If you want to have a look at the crash logs I can send them on, but it does appear that this is affecting alot of iOS 5.0 users.

    I am having problems as well after upgrading to the 4S with the same loading screen. I have the official version from the App store, nothing pirated. App is up to date on my iPad 2 running 4.3.3 with no issues.

    Tried restarting and reinstalling to no avail. Its definitely not iOS5, but 4S specific, as some other apps(Ex Navigon), are having them as well.

    In french or explain me that with details please. My problem, since iOS5 on my 3GS the application can’t work correctly: i have a loading when I open it and this loading never finish. Sorry for my bad english but it’s very important for me because all my homework is on it and I can’t see it…Thank you

    I’ve found out that the loading screen definitely only comes after the app quits – if it stays in the background after reinstalling then it works. Once you quit the app, then it goes to loading and hangs there. Even after multiple reinstalls.
    The thing to note is that I’m syncing from Mac and iPad and possibly an earlier database that would cause the loading? Problem is, I need the data, or I would just reset them all and add it in again. Hope that helps.

    This is fast becoming an urgent problem, and from the looks of it for many other people, too.

    I have the same problem with the loading screen I still get notifications for classes. It will work the first time it is installed and then after it is closed it will freeze up when you open it and say loading. I have the newest version of pro.

    Hey guys , l love your app but theres a little something
    Missing : some people have straight schedules like day 1 would be 4 classes and day 2 two would be 4 different classes etc..
    In my case its a 9-day schedule so i have 4 differents classes everyday for nine days and it starts over.
    Maybe you could add a feature that helps repeat a recurent schedule for an different number of days ? Thanks for reading

    I miss out on that on Today section you have to include te option to view our assignments for tath day and the following day. Similar as we have in the Desktop edition.

    In addition, I repeat the idea of a notes section.

    You have the best app for students, continue on this way!

    Is there a way to add a course in the semester, which HAVE grades, but which DOESEN’T count in the overall GPA?

    I’ve also a problem with course grades: my final exam in informatics has 100% weight, but I’ve also assignments, on which I get evaluation, but that shouldn’t count in the course’s final grade… On these assignment I’ve set the option “weight not assigned” but as grade for the course I get 1, although I haven’t done my final exam yet and the assignment shouldn’t be relevant..

      Elena, every grade entered in the app is calculated towards overall GPA.

    also the earned point for assignment which should not have weight on the final evaluation of the course? As I said when I’ve set “weight not assigned” for an assignment, his evaluation shouldn’t count in the course’s grade, no?

    Yes I did everything… After the iOS App update everything I have on my Mac was lost. I had to set everything up from zero and now the sync is working…

      Steven, you need to double check notifications settings in side iStudiez Pro AND in general settings on your device.

    love the new version. Any plans for a web version in the future? Can’t afford a mac, but since it all gets synced to your server anyways, a web app would make more sense than a windows app.

    Huge fan of this app and I use it all the time on my iPhone. Wondering if this app will be made available for pc in the near future. Like many students I can’t afford to just pick up a mac but to organize with this app on my pc would be really handy compared than trying to do it all on the iPhone itself. Thanks

    An Adjustment or Implementation to the Degree Scale of Europe (KP, EAP and mainly and in general ETCS) seems plausible and would make the use of iStudiez much more helpful. Pete

    can someone please help me with syncing issues!! I love the app but there are so many bugs it’s just starting to annoy me:( My syncing wont work from the mac to iphone and only parts of my schedule transfer over the my iphone from the mac. Also the holidays do not shift my schedule and i have been unable to use the app because my schedule is messed up.
    Please solve this issue whenever you can.
