Meet iStudiez Pro iOS 7 update!

We are proud to inform that the new iStudiez Pro update for iOS 7 and OS X 10.9 will be released on November 28th, 2013. For cloud sync to work, you will need to update the app on both your iOS AND OS X devices.

It’s a MUST to make iStudiez Pro data backup BEFORE you update the app.

We hope you’ll enjoy the totally new look of the app, as well as we do! Sure thing that we will continue bringing you new features and make further improvements.

IMPORTANT: iOS 5 and OS X 10.6 are NO longer supported.

    So if we don’t update any device, will cloud syncing simply stop working? Or it’s just that the new version will not work with the previous one? Because I haven’t updated to iOS 7 yet and I don’t plan to do it, but I still want cloud sync

      If you do not update the app on any device (iOS and OS X) – the app will still work and sync.
      Once you update the app on any device to the latest version – it won’t sync with the previous one.

    Is it just me though, or has the mac desktop app not changed at all? I updated it today and then went to the istudiez pro app page in the mac app store and it said the latest update was released today, on the 29th nov.

      The OS X version was updated to be compatible with the new iOS version of the app.
      As of now the appearance of OS X version of iStudiez Pro remains unchanged.

      If you update OS X version of the app you would have to update the one on iOS, otherwise they won’t sync.

    You guys screwed the calendars up. In week view, the days are out of place, it shows Thursday in the Friday slot, etc. They are all shifted by a day. The mini calendar shows that it is Nov. 29th but says its a saturday. Screwing up the calendars right before finals was not a great idea.

    I must say i think you guys really stuffed it with this one. The old design was very easy to navigate, the new one is way too simplistic. The color coding on assignments in the old version made it easy to quickly notice when things are due, now its just a big white page with some words. I hate it, seriously. Ive been in love with the app for the past year and a half, its helped me immensly in college. The old app was great, this is a totally new app, and its nowhere near as easy to navigate and use quickly. Please add some color

    I hate the new look one of the reasons I got this app over other one was the look. It was very easy to read; however, the new update makes things hard to see. This is a poor choice of an update especially for college students who need to be able to glance at their schedules and see what is going on. If this look is here to stay I will be getting rid of this app and be sure to tell people not to get it. I mean come on I can hardly see the colors I used to color code my classes.

    I have had this app for years on my iPhone, than I bought a Mac for college and decided it would be a good choice so I could put all of my class work in one convent spot. It was great, I could sync everything with the touch of a button. Then, this update happened! You lost it. The calendar is all messed up, I can’t sync anything and its calculating my GPA all wrong. My iPhone app isn’t even running correctly either. Please fix!

    I agree. Bad update. The calendar looks way to plain and you can barely see the colored dots. Maybe you could add a choice of calendar layouts. Give back the old one. It was much easier to read. If not, I will definitely be switching apps. I’ve had this one for almost 2 years. Too bad.

    I was just wondering when you will change the look of the desktop version to be more like the iOS version. Im kind of over the whole “fake wood and paper” thing. I LOVE the new iOS version though. It just feels like I can do more with it, even if that is probably all in my head

    -as others have stated the calendar days are messed up in the iOS app, but also my class times have all shifted by a few hours.
    -I updated the OSX app and it won’t open now for me whatsoever. It bounces in the dock a couple of times and crashes. I’m running 7.5 if that makes a difference.

    I updated to the new version on my iPhone 5, works. Not my iMac asked for the update or it would not sync. I have 10.7.5 on my iMac, and guess what happened? Crash, after crash, after crash. The update said it would work on 10.7. I know nobody on your team will lose their job for this, but it is HUGE error on somebody to STATE clearly that it will work on 10.7, when it clearly dos not. Seems like you guys were in a rush to get this version out, but clearly there are major glitches. Hope you get all the issues fixed soon!

    New Mac release is buggy. Here is what I reported:

    While using the app on my Mac (OS X 10.9.0) I’ve encountered the following problem: after update, my calendar is out of synchronization; all my classes were shifted one day ahead of their actual scheduled day; i.e. Monday classes are now Sunday classes.

    While using the app on my Mac (OS X 10.9.0) I’ve encountered the following problem: the assignments given a due date of “someday” now read “May 3, 3000”.

    The new update is very cool. Except when sometimes I lost connection, it always prompts me to reenter my password for sync, which is very annoying.

    I have updated the app on my Mac and both my iPad and iPhone. However they do not seem to be syncing anymore and I am getting several prompts to sign in over and over again. Has anyone else had this problem?

      Can you provide us with more details, for example – do you use other applications besides iStudiez Pro, when does it happen, does the app sync automatically or you do it manually, do you have a constant Internet connection or you change your location and Internet connection as well, etc.?

    Hi, i updated yesterday to version 1.7 on my iPod touch 4g (iOS 6) but saw no changes at all (except a change in the displayed version number). I see that iOS 6 is supported in this update but does that include the new interface? thanks for your help

    I loved this app before the update. Now, compared to the old look, I personally feel that the ‘iOS 7’ skin you guys stuck on is rather dull, cluttered, and overall unimaginative. The old design was perfect; I’m confused as to why you decided to radically change something that didn’t need fixing.

    At the very least, could you allow users to switch to the old look in the settings? I personally feel the app was much easier to use and look at with the old style. I hate to say this, but as of now I really regret updating.

    My days are wrong – the view is now “Saturday” to “Friday”, instead of “Sunday” to “Saturday”. Also, all my Monday classes are listed under Sunday, Tuesday classes are listed under Monday, etc.

    Is this one of the bugs you are working on?

    Also, could you PLEASE add more colors? I have a lot of things to keep track of and I am running out of colors! Thank you.

    also adding a class and setting the start time to 8am.. and the end time to 9am, after rotating the time picker around 24hours makes the class go past 40 odd hours.. if your not watching the duration text at the bottom you end up with a MESS!

    One of my devices is updated, the other isn’t. I don’t want to update on the other one but I still want to sync. PLEASE MAKE IT SO I CAN SYNC BETWEEN UPDATED AND NOT UPDATED DEVICES!! If I had known this would happen, I never would have updated on the first device.

      The latest version of the app can sync with the latest version of iStudiez Pro only.
      Unfortunately it is not possible to make it sync with the previous version.

    Hello, I purchased iStudiez Pro at august of 2011and I have been using it for a while since then, mainly for the cloud sync, i updated my OS to Mavericks and some hours ago I decided going back to mountain lion again, problem is I reinstalled iStudiez and I can’t see any of my courses or instructors, i wonder if the problem was for the downgrade or what, still… shouldn’t those problems had been avoided with the could sync? is there any way of getting my data back?

    What issue has been fixed? It’s very frustrating to have this bug come during FINALS!! I keep my schedule on there and the day shift is driving me crazy.. my schedule is all wrong!!

    It’s been 10 days and it’s still not fixed. If you have that big of a bug, HOW COULD YOU RELEASE IT WHEN WE DEPEND ON IT SO MUCH??? And not give us an option to downgrade, either??

    Hi guys. I think it would be nice to give the iOS 6 users the option to have the iOS interface as unfortunately some of us haven’t got the money to get an iPod 5 or iPhone at all! It just seems a bit backwards and unfair for some users to be stuck with the old wooden app! Maybe do this once all the issues with the ios 7 are ironed out and fixed!

      We are trying to keep native user interface for each of the iOS version.
      Thus, the design of the app for iOS 6 remains unchanged and the old design is not applicable for iOS 7 devices.

    LOL.. i see you deleted my BIG list of all the bugs in iStudiez.. not to worry, as i can bet most people have seem some and too have had enough with istudiez.. if i found that many bugs in using the app for a few mins i can only imagine that you spent time trying to make it “look good” and put no time into making it “work properly”
    better off using iOS calendar and reminders.. Siri can add them with ease and won’t STUFF UP ALL MY REMINDERS like istudiez did!

    I really enjoy this app and it has been a tremendous help for the last year and a half of nursing school! One suggestion I wanted to see if I could throw your way was adding the capability to deem a class as “Pass/Fail”. All of my clinicals are P/F and my calculated GPA in the app never matches my actual GPA because of this (I think). Maybe I’m just overlooking something? Thanks for all your hard work!

    I mostly like the new version. But I miss the red flag icons that exams had. It was much better organizationally and visually to be able to look at a month at a time and see what weeks had (possibly multiple) exams. With the new update, the “large” dots are barely more visible than dots for regular classes. Bring back the flags! :)

    When is the desktop application getting updated, sync is never synchronized, ironic isnt it? i sync on my ipad, my mac signs out, i sync on my mac, my ipad never receives the update. Id also like to see a new visual style, simple flat design just like the mobile app, for the desktop.

    I updated to the new istudiez on my iphone, not realizing that it was incompatible with the original iPad. I am unable to update on my iPad, and have no way to sync the 2 devices. I depend on this app for my school work. The fact that you have made your app unaccessible to me simply because of an older device is unacceptable. I have no way to restore the old version and I don’t have the money to buy a whole new iPad.
