iStudiez Pro and iOS 8: Roadmap

We are writing this quick message to update everyone as for the upcoming update of iStudiez Pro for iOS 8.

Right now the release candidate is almost fully tested and we hope to submit the new version 1.7.8 this weekend (then we should wait for Apple to approve, as always). Note that current version available in the App Store was released prior to the release of iOS 8, so of course it might be not that compatible with it. Upcoming version 1.7.8 will fix issues that are now bugging the app when it is used on iOS 8.

After that you should expect one more update that will host new features particularly implemented for smoother use of the app on iOS 8.

P.S. iStudiez Pro 1.7.8 will only support iOS 7/8 and will additionally support iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Update:
iStudiez Pro iOS 8 compatible update has been submitted for review. Commonly it takes up to week for the app to be approved by Apple.

Update 2:
After the previous update of iStudiez Pro was released we received lots of emails and complaints about the app’s incompatibility with iOS 8. We do read your tweets and comments on our Facebook page and blog, and we decided to remind you a bit how things are.

iStudiez Pro only supports the official iOS/OS X releases, so we never released any betas and do not plan to do so in the future.
Once the update is ready it is tested on ALL iOS and OS X betas and on the official release. If everything is OK the update is sent to Apple for review. And since that moment all we can do is wait for approval (just like all of you guys). iStudiez Team is not able either to foresee or affect the approval timeline. Neither complaints, nor open letters will make Apple work faster. They are already doing their work as fast as they can.

With the major iOS/OS X release lots of apps are usually updated, and each is awaiting for approval. Sometimes the queue goes faster, but if no such luck then we need to be patient.

      Yes, you usually get pre-release access to iOS SDKs before the release. This is to allow the app developers to incorporate all the new features before the new OS version launches. And when the new OS is released, the users can use the new features immediately.

    Could you please consider having different grade systems for different classes? For instance my math classes are cumulative point based, while my English class works by weighted percentage. I would really like to not have to adapt my grades to fit one system.

    Hi.

    It is really important this update because the app is not working well on iOS 8. I had to buy your Windows version, which it is a bit expensive in a country that has to survive with less than 5 dollars a day.

    Also I really want to suggest the addition of an assistance control and to improve the notes so we could get a full picture and control of our grades, etc.

    Love this app for fast organization on my iPhone, but wish that I could attach a syllabus to each class or have a larger section for notes to paste in the syllabus when using it on my laptop. For $9.99, I really expected a little more from the Mac app.

    I have seen similar requests in the past, so I hope you will consider it for future updates!

    Please consider implementing percentage into the tasks section. Most of the time people have a number of assingments at once and it’s be so wonderful to show how many percent have I already done.

    I cannot add a class schedule to my course. I hope that this buff will get fixed soon.

    Also, I would very much appreciate it if the GPA score for semesters and overall can be displayed in two decimal places instead of one.

    Hi this is a great app and perfect for a busy university student! I have one suggestion, in the “Assignments” tab, there should be a way to check once you have completed the assignment then input the grade later once you have received it. Instead of having notifications of assignments being overdue, when really you just haven’t received a grade for it yet. Thanks!

    I cannot add regular/single class or exam. When I try to do this, app is not responding, and I have to close it.
    It happens in the paid version and lite. Please remove this bug. Thank you, i love your app, but now i can’t use it :(

            Ok :D, I was only update the app, I have 16 gb ipad 3. Try to reset your device, you can have bad files on your ipad/iphone. If doesn’t work, buy a tank and drive to the company of istudiez.

      They post me that the update was uploaded on September 25. I am also a Developer of my own apps and I have a lot of experience on uploading apps for review. Right now, all Developers are sending their apps to Apple for review (for iOS 8 compatibility). I think that the update is gong to be released next week.

    Ever since I updated to the newest version that came out over the weekend, I haven’t been able to open the app, because it crashes when loading the app! I even tried deleting the app, and it still doesn’t work! I’m using it on an iPad with retina desplay (3rd generation) am I the only one with this problem? I need it to be fixed soon!!!

    I have an iPhone 5 and love this app. I thought when I purchased the app for my MacBook pro and set up the cloud syncing I could sync the info on my iPhone app with the laptop app. It doesn’t work for me. Let me know what the deal is. Thanks!
