Your classes are still there!

You sometimes write to us that although the duration of your classes is set correctly, they still are not shown in your schedule after a certain date.

So let’s see. When a new semester is created, its duration is automatically set by default for 3 months starting from the date you created it.
The duration of the semester can be changed by clicking on a right upper corner view in Planner.
Keep in mind that the change of semester time frames does not affect start/end dates of your classes. So if you change the duration of a semester where you have previously added classes, then you will need to change their start/end dates as well.

Otherwise you will experience the situation you write to us about. E.g. if your class is set till July, but semester lasts till June only – your class won’t be shown in the schedule, because Calendar and Today panes show the schedule within your semester/classes timeframes only.

Merry Christmas and Happy iPhone 5 Update!

We know, it’s been a while since the last update. The delay is explained by our desire to not only include iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th generation support, but also add some new features.
Some of them are just smart fun, like pinch zoom in Week pane (iPad-only).
Others are among long-waited for, like option to set repeating classes based on odd/even days and option to set default due date for assignments in the app settings.
We also added option to pull down to show past events in Today pane and changed the way class details are displayed in Week pane.

Some bugs happened to make their way into version 1.6.4, but we’ve caught them and now are trying them for survival in our testing lab. After iTunes Connect gets back from Christmas holidays we’ll submit quick update with fixes.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Yeeaaar!

Update in the pipeline

We know it’s taking us a while to release the long-waited-for update with iPhone 5 compatibility, but we have some good reasons to delay the release, one of them being the need to fix several major bugs and also implement some new useful features.

So please give us some more time. Meanwhile, just to calm most curious of you, here is one of the features that we already added and that will be available in the update: pinch zoom in week view (for iPad version only). Also in all versions of the app it will be possible to see past events in Today view.

Thanks for your patience, we’ll keep you posted.

Now supported: Notification Center in Mountain Lion and Retina Display in MacBook Pro

iStudiez Pro for Mac update 1.0.9 has just been released to the App Store. To tell you the truth, we wanted to make this update even bigger, but there were some objections from the App Store review Team, so we will need to make some corrections and then introduce to you some really cool new options.

So far, what’s new:

  • Option to make data backup
  • App interface enhanced for the MacBook Pro with Retina display
  • Notification Center in Mountain Lion (now you can be notified of your upcoming classes and pending tasks and not be late with either)

We also fixed some grade calculation issues and improved stability and general app performance.
BTW, update for mobile version of iStudiez Pro has been submitted and is now waiting for review.

More news coming soon.

UPDATE: iStudiez Pro mobile version 1.6.2 is now available in the App Store.

iStudiez Pro 1.6 for iOS submitted to the App Store

Hi everyone, hope your busy schedule still allows you enjoy spring and have good time during the weekends. As for us, we continue working to improve iStudiez Pro so that you can enjoy it even more.

We have just submitted version 1.6 which of course is optimized for Retina display on the new iPad. We’ve also finally added Copy & Paste option for semesters, courses, classes, exams and assignments (both single and multiple selection).

The other new things include:

  • Option to select multiple assignments in order to delete or copy them
  • Pinch zoom gesture to see brief and expanded content in Assignments list view.
  • Option to send data backup as a file
  • Week numbers now correspond to ISO

Besides, we’ve also fixed:

  • Bug when the app would sign out of cloud sync account if launched not being connected to the Internet
  • Crash on editing time frames for holidays
  • Problem causing birthdays to be occasionally shifted one day back/forward
  • Occasional interface glitches and refresh related issues
  • Hungarian, Italian and Traditional Chinese localizations

The update is now waiting for approval and we hope it’ll not take long.

More features are in development, we’ll announce soon.

Pinch Zoom

Have a good day everyone!
