iStudiez Pro for Mac – coming soon!

It is really our pleasure to finally make an official announcement of iStudiez Pro for Mac.

We know that unofficially we’ve been keeping you all dangling, but this was because we wanted to make sure that we will eventually deliver unique and integral application. iStudiez Pro for Mac will not only be oriented to support mobile versions of the app, but will serve as totally independent and self-reliable software.

Price, features and other details will be announced later.

and PC version? Coming on the way, right? =~

  22. DocStu said

Well I think it is time for me to delete the app off my device. I bought it months and months ago because of the carrot of “desktop” support. Now it turns out that it is going mac… I am done waiting… and done typing everything on a tiny little keyboard. It would be extremely simple to create a utility that would just send the same sort of url-string that the iphone app exports when you share your calendar. I’m done… good luck with the mac thing.

  23. Yes! Cannot wait!

  24. Aww…I’m assuming it isn’t free for the existing iPhone app owners…

And will it be on the Mac App Store? I would personally wait to buy it through that!

  25. Ahh Man, Brought iStudiez pro 2 and a half years ago, now mid way through my final year and you release the Mac version. Too late for me :-(

    Still awesome news though!

  26. Viyat said

YEAAAA!!!!! DO U NEED A BETA TESTER!!!! IM IN!!!!

  27. Dareon said

Very good :D , can’t wait for it. Plz let it sync with MobileMe, thx

  28. that’s great news!! looking forward to the release!

  29. JT said

PLEASE add auto syncing between the app and phone/pad clients. Having to email myself backup copies every other day sucks!

  30. Pattulus said

FINALLY! I’ve just bought the app to support the development of a Mac Client.

This is dearly needed to make the iOS version useful at all in my opinion.

  31. Alex Smoith said

Please make this for PC too!

  32. Jeremy Gulley said

Some sort of sync server would be AMAZING! Would pay annual fee! Can’t wait! Need tester let me know!

  33. Great guys!
If you need me (your spanish iPhone translator) to translate it to spanish too, email me! ;D

  34. Hi Bastian :) We will definitely need help from all our translators, we can’t do without your help, guys. But we want to form a single file for translation not to bother you on each word :)

  35. Bilal Bashir said

Now this – This is great news! I’ve been waiting for this amazing application to finally come to the Mac and make my life easier by easily and safely syncing with the iPhone! Hopefully some new features will be included and an easy User Interface (as in the iPhone). As for a price, I think it’s understandable and the least users can do is help the developers a bit. “Things” requires users to purchase the Mac version ($50) and the iPhone version ($10) in order to have both and to use for syncing necessities. However, it would be a shame if the Mac version of “iStudiez Pro” will be an outrageous price, like “Things”. I think $10-$20 is tolerable and reasonable for everyone’s budget and this way, the developers might attract more users/buyers. Thanks for the news update, can’t wait… Hurry up!!!

  36. Bilal Bashir said

By the way (TO THE iSTUDIEZ PRO DEVELOPERS TEAM):

I’m a fluent speaker in Urdu, in case you would like some help with translations. Urdu is the native language for Pakistan. Just thought it’s the least I can do for such an extraordinary application, that’s saves my life every week. Thanks.

  37. Jk said

Keep me also in mind for translation in Greek! Thanks! Both for the mac and ios versions!

  38. mike said

If you need translation into Russian or Ukrainian let me know.

  39. Hi Bilal, Jk and mike, please accept our great thanks for volunteering to help with translation. We always keep this information at hand and will let you know when we need your help.
    Thanks again! :)

  40. Joey said

How do you reinstall the app after removing it? It was crashing everytime I tried to add a new assignment and would touch “save.” I made a backup, restarted, and removed the app, and at this point I’m unable to reinstall it, running around like a chicken with his planner cut off.

I’d appreciate hearing from you soon, as I can’t remember what work needs to be done for what class. Thanks!

  41. Jonaspra said

I am available for English to German Translation great app by the way.

  42. Thomas said

If you need someone to translate it in Dutch…

  43. Sunite said

Awesome news on the Mac version, but unlike myself i do not have a Mac Laptop….
Also with the pricing, it would be wonderful it you guys make it free for all the existing iStudiez Customers…
I know you guys need to keep the profits to its maximum, but since you guys have this kind of feature on hand, you guys would make a killing.

  44. Ryan said

Such great news! I’ve been waiting for news like this for a while. iStudiez Pro has got to be the most used app on my iPhone!

  45. Yanouj said

If you need help to translate it in french, I’m available and interested :)

  46. Nemeswiss said

What do you think how many windows-users bought istudiez pro? Compare this number with the mac-users out there! I would say pc is clearly dominating. So, as you created a great app, please make the right decision too and develop a pc-version as well. Thx in advance ; )

  47. Sebastian said

Amazing news. This was exactly what I Googled for!

Hope you release iStudiez Pro for Mac before January!

  48. Søren Palmund said

I am up for doing the Danish translation of the desktop application (and the iOS app).

  49. Fahd Al-Riyami said

Im fluent in Arabic, i would be more than happy to help you out with the translation. Your app keeps my busy college life organized, its the least i can do :)

  50. Guilherme Gonzaga said

Are you thinking about to launch it with the new mac app store

  51. Hey, guys, thanks a lot for you all for the suggestions to translate, we are really touched by your support :) Also, as for dates of launching, let’s not push it so far, ok? We want iStudiez for Mac to be real good, so we need to keep an eye on all of the details…
As for PC users, we’ll definitely consider Windows-friendly version, but not at the moment, now the priority is to make things launch in due time and in due place (more good news to come soon!) :)

  52. Blanche Rodriguez said

Hi! I bought the app for iPhone! And I wanted to write to you why there isn’t an app for Mac…bout I found the discussion here! Great!
I am studying Sound Design course so I need theory and work things, maybe you can do a box with a part theory and the other work!
Also the app for iPhone is slowly and it closing itself alone without save the docs! Maybe a new update!?!
I need something also to organize my study with iCal and Contacts lists and maybe with Pages or iWork pack! And also of it ‘s possible to print everything.
The app is for student so maybe it’s correct that price will not so much high! A if it will be free, will be Great!

  53. Phil Vollman said

Please, please make a version for PC as well as for Mac. I would pay 30 dollars for a PC version.

  54. Can we see some rough screenshots? I hope it’s not. Just like the iPad version, but if it is I guess thats ok!

  55. martin said

    France <3 Istudiez !!!!!

has when the output of istudiez Mac approximately ?

  56. Brad said

This will probably release after the mac app store goes live I bet.

  57. Marco Diaz said

this is awesome. I’m very excited about it. is there a newsletter I can subscribe to and be notified as soon as this is released???

  58. Timothy Mueller-Harder said

It is my opinion that users of the Pro version should get a free license for the Mac app and users of the free version should either need to pay or not be able to use it. I understand that you’ve put in a huge amount of work into this, but if it’s more than a dollar or so I probably won’t get it.

  59. Hey,

iStudiez is a really great app, but there´s one big thing which is not so good. For example when i write my Math Tasks down i can´t write that i must have finished this task till the next Math lesson! I can only write the date down and when you`re busy you don´t know the date of your next Math lesson ;)

I hope that you`ll change this soon!

And will the Mac Version released in this year ? I´m waiting such so a long time for it ;)

    Greetings from Germany

  60. Levin said

Can’t wait to see and use it!
Could help out with German btw..

  61. TJ Booyzen said

So glad this is coming… Please make beta and all who use beta should get free afterwards if we have iPhone / iPad App. Also please do syncing for ALL Devices!!! I really need it, so i don’t have to send myself backups anymore!!

  62. TJ said

Will you release it for the Mac App Store thats coming… That would be amazing!!

  63. Art said

Great news! Can’t wait to finally have it on my mac.
If there is a need in translation to Russian or Hebrew let me know.

  64. I’m really up for the danish translation. I will be delighted to translate the iOS app and the application for mac too.

  65. Tetris23 said

Any idea of when it will be out?
Classes start early january it would be awesome for it to come out before since as of now, I do not feel comfortable putting everything only on my phone! +in class I always have my mac with me.
If a beta versious is out already I would be more than happy to test it for you guys!
Let me know, otherwise I will need to find an alternative before class since I am not too happy with the current ical + 2do app organization.

  66. Jose Cuervo said

I would love to use the desktop app in conjunction with the mobile app. Don’t make the user choose between the two. I understand that you mentioned “iStudiez Pro for Mac will not only be oriented to support mobile versions of the app”, but for gods sake…this application is meant for students. Students are tied not only to their iPhones but also to their computers. I almost feel that the only reason to have a Mac version would be to work with the already very well made iPhone app.

  67. Oh it better be free for at least a while. I have waited too long and paid too much for them to charge for what was supposed to be there in the first place when they made the app.

  68. Hjprado said

    Can’t wait…

    Hi guys.
Looking forward to the osx version. If you don’t have a Danish translator yet I’m up for the job.

I’m guessing you guys already thought of this, but wireless sync between devices would be great. And also the ability to intelligently import iCal files from university would make the use of istudiez so much easier. My schedule does not always follow a logic pattern which makes it a pain the the @!#¥*! to type it in

    Regards
    -Anders

  73. Jonas Prawer said

to syncronise the desktop and the iphone app with the apple mobileme service would be a good ad on for istudiezpro

  75. BigB said

It would be great if this was in beta by early February for the new semester, so us college students could really put it through it’s paces.

  76. Erico, we are doing our best….

  77. Thanks Dominik, we’ll consider :)

  78. Anders, wireless sync is in development and will come soon.

  79. Thanks Raul :)
