We decided to post this as there are lots of complaints about the fact that iStudiez Pro does not work correctly on iOS 5.
In fact, we have already fixed most of the issues related to iOS 5 compatibility.
But the thing is that there is lots of code in iStudiez Pro that was developed by us from scratch (existing application programming interface did not provide generic methods for our purposes) in order to deliver unique user experience to you.
Some things that were developed that time by us now became common in iOS 5, but it means that previous solutions stopped working.
So now when we included new solutions based on iOS 5 they were considered as conflicting with Developer Agreement and the update that we tried submitting was rejected.
Until iOS 5 is released (at least as GM), we will not be able to re-submit the update with iOS 5 compatibility. As soon as iOS 5 is officially out, we will submit the update immediately.

So what your saying is that you have an update that will add iOS 5 support ready to submit but apple won’t let you do it until its released?
I applaud the developers for genuinely caring about the users and developing a solution for us iOS 5.0 users.
I am very disappointed Apple would impose such a ridiculous draconian policy of rejecting an app update that brings compatibility for a future iOS. I guess Apple wants developers to be lazy and implement support for a new iOS six months late, if ever. There are far too many apps that do not even support iOS 4 yet, and Apple decides to block an iOS compatibility update submitted early?!

Mimosa zhao, they can’t release the update because apple doesn’t want developers releasing apps that use ios 5 frameworks that don’t work on ios 4.
Hello, on ios 4 there is a bug where the “To-day” list of subjects doesn’t refresh the next day. It will just show “No more classes today, aren’t you late for a party?”. I have to manually quit the app and then start it again for the subject-list to show up.

Ali, you can use Cloud Sync option to sync your data between iOS and Mac versions of iStudiez Pro.
The Mac app crashes on me 3-4 times a day. Hope next update resolves this.
I would love for there to be a way to input recurrent/repeating assignments more easily. Otherwise love the app. Use it on our Macs, iPhones and iPad.
Really? Is there a guide or a “how to” online? I don’t want to be a bother, I just can’t find the proper way to set it up.
A web based interface would be fun ! [I know that will not be easy!] I know that you want people to pay for the app, so just don’t allow registration from the Web based interface, only existing accounts !

I have not encountered any bugs yet, but on the contrary I’ve seen a lot of places in iStudiez Pro I think could be improved, which would not just make iStudiez Pro smarter and easier to use, but would also make it feel more genuine.
So I wonder, is there a way to contact you, to give you feedback and ideas on what to improve that is not through the bug report service?
Don’t wanna sound like I always know what’s best, but it’d be nice to be able to give you guys some feedback.

I get really fed up with people who get pre-release versions of operating systems that are supposed to only be for developers and then complain that existing applications don’t work. And worse they then give developers low rankings on the App Store or elsewhere.
Hey dudes… wake up! You obviously have no idea whatsoever what ‘pre-release’ software means, so don’t damn well install it. If you are dumb enough to do so don’t come whining into forums or the app store about software released for officially release versions of an OS.

I just bought this App for IPad, I am exploring it using the sample data. I don’t see an option for month view. There is no calendar icon, I just see day view and week view at the top. Is there a way I can see a month view, which will also have my assignments color coded, like I see on the web site?
JD, the month view is actually the calendar that you see next to your Overview.

It just crashes and crashes and is not synching across platforms: macBook and iphone
Following up on JD’s post, I agree it would be really helpful on the Mac or iPad version to be able to see a monthly or weekly calendar view of just the assignments (not just dots on the smaller calendar). Also, and I know this is a common refrain, the ability to export assignments and classes into iCal would be a huge help. Thanks.
Argh! This is the fourth time I have entered all my data into iStudiez Pro, it syncs to the phone and laptop for literally 5 minutes. Upon my return everything is erased as if I haven’t added anything there. The teachers are there but not the content

LGM, we are now submitting update of Mac version for approval.
I have been having the same issue as LGM and Dean, and now I have lost all info on my iPhone 4. I am a college student, and just recently downloaded the update for the Mac app version, and ever since it hasn’t been syncing right. I wish there had been a warning before hand, I like the updates on the new version, but this is not worth it! Is there anyway I can go back to the old version until the bugs are fixed?
Otherwise, great app, would still recommend once the bugs are worked out.

NL, you probably synced from your Mac when your data was actually on your iPhone. When the alert about syncing appears it says whether Cloud Server already contains data or not. So what you should have done is choose another option to sync.

I’ve an Iphone with the 4.3.5 version.
My Istudiez Pro version for Iphone is 1.5.4
I’ve updated the new version for Mac, 1.0.4
Now the problem I have is that when I’ve sync my information, datas (planner & old assignments) appeared only on the mac but not in the Iphone anymore…
How can I fix the problem ?
