Version 1.5 with Cloud Sync pending approval

We have just submitted iStudiez Pro 1.5 major update with Cloud Sync option. Once it is approved and available for download on the App Store, you will be able to sync your app’s data between your iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.

Cloud Sync option was the crucial option before we can submit iStudiez Pro for Mac, because only with Cloud Sync on your iOS app you will be able to sync your data to Mac version.

Also in version 1.5:

  • Decimal weights available to grade assignments
  • Exams icons added to the week view
  • Option to add partners to assignments temporarily removed

Fixed:

  • Occasional crash on save/edit assignments
  • ‘Blank’ assignments view
  • Grades calculation of weighted assignments
  • Load Data Backup stability
  • Localizations mistakes corrected (Dutch, Ukrainian, Finnish and others)
  • Calendar and Today view refresh

NOTE: Cancelled classes and class notes will not sync temporarily

And of course, we would like to thank all our Cloud Sync beta-testers for valuable feedback and useful comments and tips, thanks a lot guys! 🙂

iStudiez Pro to exhibit at Macworld Expo 2011

It was back in August when we decided to participate and further promote iStudiez Pro during the annual most popular event among all Apple products fans.

At first we hesitated as soon as we don’t really have experience in featuring apps on international expos, but we were inspired by your support and desire to present the app further to the world, especially to those unlucky ones who somehow happen to be still using paper planners 🙂

So we booked a booth in the The Mobile Apps Showcase area and now we are glad to welcome everyone to support us and visit booth 818 – 12 on 27-29 of January, 2011 in San Francisco.

We will reveal some good news for those of you who are planning to attend, so keep an eye on this section of our blog to be the first to know!

Quote from Macworld 2011 official website:

The Mobile Apps Showcase, highlighting the latest innovations from iPad, iPhone and iPod touch developers, debuted at Macworld 2010 and was one of the most popular areas on the expo floor.

Update 1.4.5 is on approval…

Hi guys, eight days ago we submitted the update 1.4.5 to the App Store and it’s been in review so far.

Just to let you know that we fixed the non-saving of locations/rooms/building in iStudiez Pro as well as occasional crash on iPhone 3G and iTouch 2G when launching the app or loading data backup.

We would like to address specially those who experience crashes on launch: please DO NOT reinstall the app, your data will not be lost and will be ok with the update.

We are sorry for the inconveniences brought by update 1.4.4

Version 1.4.4 submitted – iOS 4.2 compatibility and more…

First of all let us reply to those of you who are impatiently waiting for sync between iPad and iPhone versions of iStudiez Pro: we already implemented it, but it is NOT included in this update, because we need some time to test it now. So sync will come and it will come very soon.

Version 1.4.4 is mostly about iPad version. iOS update from Apple is coming in November and we will be prepared with general iOS 4.2 compatibility, including support of multitasking and possibility to view Calendar events in iStudiez Pro.

We also missed Week View for iPad version of the app, so we developed it for this update as well, hope you’ll enjoy 🙂

And, something that we should have done long ago – iStudiez Pro will now support shift of schedule after holidays (for A&B weeks and rotating schedules) for iPhone/iPod/iPad.

A few words of general betterments:

  • Stability improved
  • Minor bugs fixed
  • Localizations fixed: Spanish, Italian, German and Chinese Traditional
  • Localizations added: British, Catalan (total number of localizations of the app being 29 now! Thanks to all of you who are helping so much with translation and corrections!)
  • Fixed occasional bug with dates in October

iPad version HINT – colors in calendar

Small, but nice surprise for those who miss colored dots in calendar from iPhone/iPod version of iStudiez Pro.

Simply tap any date on the calendar and a baloon will pop up showing your schedule for that particular day in color. Try moving your finger across the calendar for expanded info on other dates.

Enjoy! 🙂
