Major update of iStudiez Pro for Windows is available

We have been earlier quite busy with the updates of iTeacherBook and then iStudiez Pro for Apple Watch, so the update of Windows version was slightly delayed in time. When we finally started looking at iStudiez Pro for Windows current version we realized it was already a bit outdated.

So we had to take care of the interface first and foremost. Now, to take care of and to please our Windows users we are bringing you brand new look of iStudiez Pro. The app is now compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10.

We finally added notifications for classes and exams, they are very useful and will help you stay tuned to your schedule. You know that very well without us even mentioning it in the end.

You may also be enjoying the integration with Google Calendars. At that you are welcome to choose seeing third-party calendars in iStudiez Pro or vice versa, take a quick glance at iStudiez Pro schedule in your Google Calendar.

We refreshed the app’s interface to bring it to the unified design tradition among all the versions for the app across all devices, and made app icon look more elegant.

Launch the app and you will be prompted to download the update.

OR, for those who have not yet purchased iStudiez Pro for Windows, you can quickly do it here

If you like the app, please take a minute and recommend us to your friends in your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social network you feel might get the message through 🙂
As always, we need your support for future inspiration!

iStudiez Pro now supports Apple Watch

Before we start telling you why this news is so exciting, let us give you a short preambula.

It is logical that we are interested to make iStudiez Pro better with every update, so the key eternal question for our whole team once and always has been simple: what is it exactly that students need in the app like ours to reach that unique and sweet feeling of comfort when they know that they have everything in the bag?
Yes, we put it as simple as possible here, yes.

When we explored all the opportunities Apple Watch can bring to students, we were amazed how fit is the very essence of iStudiez Pro with the idea of this device. App for Apple Watch was destined to save more time for our users and help you be more flexible in following the milestones of your schedule and progress of your studies.

Now, let’s see how wonderfully well iStudiez Pro and Apple Watch fall together:

The interaction of our users with their schedule in iStudiez Pro for Apple Watch is based on the principle of total customization and uncommon individual approach. For example, we implemented experimental tomorrow view that allows peaking at classes scheduled for tomorrow with just one swipe from Today view. Free time slot came naturally. Just knowing due time sometimes is not enough, and it feels good not to have to calculate how much free time is in your possession for this particular moment.
We added wonderfully handy Glance that shows remaining time for the current event as well as time pending for the event that follows. Will ease your life a whole lot! When it is time for you to go to the next class, a nice notification will pop up and help you refresh upcoming class details and location. Same goes for your assignments due and exams to take. The power of notifications delivered in all their beauty!

Option to choose which Calendar events you wish to see in iStudiez Pro on your Apple Watch helps see the overall scope of your plans in one place.
iStudiez Pro for Apple Watch helps you gather the most vital information within seconds and balance studies with playtime.

As always, we welcome your feedback on the new update and following your experience with iStudiez Pro on Apple Watch.
Remember to update your reviews and ratings on the App Store 😉

Thanks a lot for your comments and feedback!

Introducing Schedule Sharing in iStudiez Pro

The biggest thing to appreciate in the update we just released is the possibility to share iStudiez Pro schedule to third-party calendars and vice versa. It’s been a while since we have decided to add this option to the app. And it took some time to figure out what would be the best way to integrate it with third-party calendars and make it work smoothly.

We managed to find an elegant solution when implementing our ideas, and as a result you have a smart and simple way to share your schedule to your friends or see their iStudiez Pro schedule in the calendar you are most used to:

We consider this update an important step towards the expansion of iStudiez Pro as a unique global application dedicated to students and their needs and wishes.

As always, we have added some bonuses to the update:

• online classes can now be added without any association with time, location and room. Add the class, see it above all classes in today view, tap the link and go study!

• the flexibility of setting up your schedule is now improved – you can set up classes that take place every odd/even working days.

• search option is now available in the Mac version of the app.

We actually had to do some fixing as well: shift schedule issue, holiday schedule refresh issue, percent GPA scale saving issue…
Oh, and if you wish you can turn off notifications on a device where you do not wish to see them. They won’t be disturbing you now on all your devices at once!

In general, we hope you enjoy this update. If anything does not work (the app crashed, your data is lost or your device drowned), well, this is not a perfect world and you know where to find us.

More news coming soon… 🙂

Beauty in Details: iStudiez Pro Spring Update

Hi again to everyone, spring is in blossom and we are inspired to bring you some nice features in the new update of iStudiez Pro iOS and OS X. So let’s see what’s in there to explore:

First of all, we’ve worked a lot to make Week pane more flexible and improve its usability. Now you have the ability to increase/decrease Week pane font size and ability to hide event types, option to set start/end time for a day and option to select all-day events and view details (OS X). Oh, and we have updated Week pane appearance on iPad. With this update you can zoom Week pane to see small events in detail, on all iOS and OS X devices.

Also, weekends are marked in grey color, and events display their start time (OS X only). The week number is shown when the week is selected on iOS devices.

There is a number of other small touches that we hope will make you happier:

OS X:

  • Option to add classes, exams and holidays from Overview
  • Option to edit custom class types
  • Copy&Paste option added in Planner for semesters, courses, classes, exams and in Day pane for assignments
  • Added assignments badge in toolbar
  • Preferences pane redesigned
  • Keyboard navigation improved

iOS:

  • Option to add holidays from Calendar on iPhone and from Day/Week pane on iPad

There are some fixes as well:

OS X:

  • Fixed backup saving and loading
  • Fixed issue causing application to show notifications for cancelled classes
  • Fixed various performance issues

iOS:

  • Fixed appearance in Week pane of event title and subtitle
  • Fixed issue with iPhone calendar in Thai localization
  • Fixed various performance problems

So far that’s it. We are now concentrating on some things and we are sure most of you will love it, but hush on this until late summer…
We keep you updated!

Let’s celebrate the update: iStudiez Pro Mac version is 50% OFF for one week!

Merry Christmas and Happy iPhone 5 Update!

We know, it’s been a while since the last update. The delay is explained by our desire to not only include iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th generation support, but also add some new features.
Some of them are just smart fun, like pinch zoom in Week pane (iPad-only).
Others are among long-waited for, like option to set repeating classes based on odd/even days and option to set default due date for assignments in the app settings.
We also added option to pull down to show past events in Today pane and changed the way class details are displayed in Week pane.

Some bugs happened to make their way into version 1.6.4, but we’ve caught them and now are trying them for survival in our testing lab. After iTunes Connect gets back from Christmas holidays we’ll submit quick update with fixes.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Yeeaaar!

iStudiez Pro for Mac update 1.0.9 has just been released to the App Store. To tell you the truth, we wanted to make this update even bigger, but there were some objections from the App Store review Team, so we will need to make some corrections and then introduce to you some really cool new options.

iStudiez Pro updates submitted both iOS and Mac versions

We decided to release a quick update before holidays and hope that it’ll be approved by Apple before the whole team goes on holidays.

Most importantly, the updates include A&B and alternate days schedule shift after holidays, fixes of random syncing issues, customization of date for assignment notifications and some more improvements of general performance of the app.

Also, for iOS version the School Bell notification sound is added 🙂

Update: both versions are available on the App Store as of Dec 20, 2011.
NOTE: you need to update both iOS and Mac versions in order to get Cloud Sync work properly.

iStudiez Pro for Mac version 1.0.5 available in the Mac App Store

First we would like to apologize before those of you who experienced problems with sync in previous version of the app. Here is what we’ve done to address existing issues:

  • Fixed “Sync from Mac” behavior
  • Added Sync to Server command allowing to force sync to the server all the data available in iStudiez Pro for Mac
  • Fixed problem when the app loses data after quitting
  • Fixed GPA calculation based on Percent Grading Scale

IMPORTANT: those users who lost the app data on their iOS devices after updating to version 1.0.4, but still have the data on their Macs will need to use new command Sync to Server. Here is what you need to do:

  1. From the iStudiez Pro menu bar, choose Data
  2. While in Data menu, press and hold Option button on your keyboard
  3. You will see the command Sync To Server appearing in Data menu, click it

This will force sync all the data currently existing on your Mac to the server. After you sync on your iOS devices, you will be able to see all data back there.
ALSO NOTE: this solution will only help those who did not create any new Cloud Sync accounts in iStudiez Pro and who are currently using iStudiez Pro for Mac where all the data is present.
